Colombo runs on UTC+5:30 all year, with no daylight saving. That is 2.5 hours behind Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, 4.5 to 5.5 hours behind Sydney and Melbourne, and 1.5 hours ahead of Dubai, so a Colombo working day shares most of the Singapore day and the Australian afternoon, with the European morning falling in the Colombo afternoon and the US East Coast morning in the Colombo evening.
